What carriers actually pay independent agents — by line, state, and channel. Built entirely from agent submissions. No carrier input, no sponsors, and every figure published with its sample size.
We'll send the report when it publishes. The fastest way to make it better: add one of your commission rates — about 90 seconds.
Commission rates are some of the most closely held numbers in insurance. Carriers don't publish them, aggregators don't disclose their splits, and most agents only know what they're paid — not whether it's competitive. The best information available today is scattered across forum threads and Facebook groups.
Industry surveys that do exist are usually funded by carriers or vendors with a stake in the answer. This one isn't.
Every agent who contributes a rate strengthens the report. Submissions are anonymous: we publish aggregates, never an individual agency's numbers. Any figure without enough reports behind it is marked insufficient rather than estimated.

Each published range will list the number of agent reports behind it and the reporting period. Figures are self-reported by licensed independent agents; duplicates and obvious outliers are removed, as described in our methodology. Carriers, aggregators, and vendors cannot pay to be included, excluded, or reviewed.
